Caesar in the AC
Caesar in the AC

When we lived in Arizona, we would visit Las Vegas 2-3 times per year. It is a bit far from Baltimore to do that, so we are looking for another venue to scratch our fancy food/gambling/fun itches.

We went in December. It was cold, cold, cold! There weren't many people and many of the shops and restaurants were closed. We still enjoyed holding hands and taking in the sights.

We enjoyed lots of beautiful Christmas decorations.

The food was a bit of a disappointment. We ate at a very romantic, delicious, yet odd restaurant that was...wait for it...BYOB. Not at all Vegas-like. The best bite of the trip was at Chickie's and Pete's in The Tropicana.

We ended the trip with a show called The Hook. This was definitely adults-only, equal parts impressive and cringey.

I am glad we were not sitting in the front row.

The highlight of our road trip? Learning that New Jersey has mandatory gas station attendants.

We may give AC one more chance in the warmer months, but I think our hunt for a new Vegas shall continue.
