Date Nights for Two in and around Gilbert
Eats

Korean BBQ! The staff is super helpful and friendly here. There are many perfect little bbq tables for two. Snuggle up, cook your own provisions, and proceed to get meat wasted.

Despite the name, it is not exactly romantic (it is usually busy and almost always crazy-loud) but this is our favorite local restaurant. Order the Famous Carnitas and the Posole, you can thank me later.
Last fall in Japan we went to the very first teppanyaki restaurant, located in Tokyo. So, we waited a bit before jumping back into any U.S. version. What a warm welcome back! The staff here is so kind (even though we were the only ones in attendance on a slow Monday night) and the food was delicious. We loved our 'private' table show for two!

This place will forever hold a special place in our hearts, as it is where we were first introduced to Molcajete, the most perfect of all dishes for two.

This is our favorite brunch place. The food is fun, inventive, and most importantly delicious. I love the bumping music and all of the sparkly things, there are many glitter options on the menu.

This is a unique little Mediterranean breakfast place. After a trip to the driving range, we enjoyed the Mam's Tray, a personal little buffet, all topped with delicious tea.
Drinks

Ahoy! This fully immersive cocktail bar puts you inside an old world ship. Snag a table for two next to one of the portholes and sip on creative or classic craft cocktails.

Speakeasy vibes, including a secret entrance and a password. The drinks are solid, it can get a little too cozy with neighbors if you are seated at a middle table.

Five actors arrive at this small theater in downtown Phoenix. One is chosen to take five shots...and attempt to perform Shakespeare. The audience is raucous, the craft cocktails are tasty, this is definitely a unique experience.
Activities

A DIY date night creating wood signs. Learn more about our adventures in crafting here.

Nothing says date night like working side by side to create your own art. We have attended painting classes and a cookie decorating event here, both have been wonderful. They also offer beer, wine, and soft drinks from their little bar. Cheers!

We went to the Glendale loction after a Cardinals football game. Tap into your inner Tiger Woods and putt your way around 18 holes. You can order drinks to be delivered to your current location, and there are many yummy food options in the seating area.

Tap into your inner lumberjack (and lumberjill?!), crack open a cold craft brew, and prepare to do battle. By battle I mean a darts-like game of tossing the old tomahawk.

We have intermittently taken dance lessons since our first year of marriage. Overall our experiences with professional dance studios have been positive. It is great exercise and a fun way to learn a new skill together!

Enjoy pinball and arcade games for an old-school date night. Go after 7, no one under 21 is allowed after that time. Pro tip: grab a beer flight, they serve it up on a mini skateboard.
(Soon to be in a new Gilbert location.)

We found ourselves ready for more cookies. This studio offers many types of crafty classes. Space is limited, book early to guarantee your spot! Check out our post here.

My husband and I love coming here for a date. We have a location close to our house, (there is also a branch in Scottsdale) so this is a convenient night or day out. We always order the Nachos (individually loaded up) and the boneless wings. The check-in process is super easy and there is always a worker willing to assist if you need help getting started. The staff servicing the bays are fairly quick and seem to be run by committee. Pro tips for deal seekers: Tuesdays are half price, it is cheaper earlier in the day, and sign up for emails, they are always sending coupons.
